DIET22 Treatment
 Diet22
is a medical program for alimentary re-education in which you learn how to
choose foods in a scientific way that will allow you to enjoy better
health and a fuller life. Dr. Max Tafur
will perform the first evaluation and treatment.
Clinical Evaluation
The clinical evaluation is three-pronged: it includes a history of
clinical nutrition, an analysis of personal and family backgrounds and
blood tests that will be used to determine hormonal and metabolic
condition. All of the information obtained from each of these analyses
will be used to tailor a dietary program designed to meet your goals and
objectives.
Nutritional
Analysis
 During the nutritional analysis phase of treatment, your weight and eating
habits will be examined. To help us tailor your program to meet your
needs, we will examine your current weight, your highest and lowest adult
weight, and the types of foods you eat, the times you eat and the
restaurants you frequent. Additionally, special equipment will be used to
measure your body fat and body mass index (BMI).
Psychological
Treatment
Many times, psychological issues affect the way your body processes food
and nutrients and burns calories. During this phase of treatment, we will
evaluate aspects of your self-esteem, codependency, your feelings about
your physical appearance, stress triggers, body language, etc., to
determine the cause of a possible eating disorder.
Pharmaceutical
Treatment
While excellent results are obtained without the need for anti-obesity
drugs such as amphetamines, laxatives or diuretics, we will prescribe them
if the need arises. The drugs we prescribe can help to:
Reduce hunger pangs
Reduce anxiety between
meals to help you resist snacks
Increase your metabolic
rate to help your body burn fat
Any pharmaceuticals we
prescribe are safe and easily processed by your body with no adverse
affects.
Esthetic
Evaluation
During the interviews we will also evaluate fat deposits, grade of
cellulite and varicose veins. We will prescribe a specific treatment
for each problem. |
